These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Candidate," or "you") and AfriGulf Recruitment (Pty) Ltd ("AfriGulf," "Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a recruitment agency registered in South Africa.
By accessing our website at www.afrigulfrecruitment.com, creating an account, submitting an application, or using any of our recruitment services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2 Our Services
AfriGulf Recruitment provides international recruitment services, specifically connecting South African professionals with employment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
2.1 Recruitment Services
- Sourcing and screening qualified candidates for positions in education, household management, and private tutoring
- Matching candidates with suitable job opportunities based on qualifications and experience
- Coordinating interviews between candidates and prospective employers
- Facilitating communication throughout the recruitment process
2.2 Support Services
- Guidance on visa applications and work permit requirements
- Pre-departure preparation and orientation
- Document verification and authentication assistance
- Relocation guidance and support
2.3 Platform Services
- Online job board with current vacancies
- Candidate profile and document management
- Application tracking and status updates

3 Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be legally able to enter into binding contracts
- Hold valid South African citizenship or permanent residency (or citizenship of another country we service)
- Possess relevant qualifications and/or experience for the positions you apply for
- Have a valid passport with at least 12 months validity
- Have no criminal convictions that would prevent employment in the UAE/GCC countries
- Meet the health and medical requirements for employment in the destination country
4 User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
4.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
4.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or your conduct is harmful to our business.
5 Candidate Obligations
5.1 Accuracy of Information
You warrant and represent that all information you provide is:
- Truthful: All statements about your qualifications, experience, and background are accurate
- Complete: You have not omitted any material information
- Authentic: All documents submitted are genuine and unaltered
- Current: Information is up-to-date at the time of submission
Warning: Providing false information, fraudulent documents, or misrepresenting your qualifications will result in immediate termination of services and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5.2 Professional Conduct
When using our services and interacting with prospective employers, you agree to:
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times
- Attend scheduled interviews and communicate promptly
- Honor any commitments or offers you accept
- Respect confidentiality of employer information
- Not engage in any discriminatory, harassing, or offensive behavior
6 Fees and Payments
6.1 Candidate Fees
AfriGulf Recruitment operates on an ethical recruitment model. We do not charge candidates recruitment fees for:
- Creating an account or profile
- Applying for job positions
- Basic recruitment services
No Hidden Fees: Our recruitment fees are paid by employers/clients. Candidates should never be asked to pay recruitment fees to secure employment.
6.2 Additional Services
Certain optional services may incur fees, including document authentication, medical examinations, and police clearance certificates. Any applicable fees will be clearly communicated before you commit to these services.
7 Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and design elements, is the property of AfriGulf Recruitment and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from our website
- Reverse engineer or attempt to access our source code
- Use automated tools to access our services
8 Disclaimers
8.1 No Employment Guarantee
While we strive to match candidates with suitable opportunities, we cannot guarantee:
- That you will receive job offers
- That you will be selected for interviews
- The accuracy of employer-provided information
- The terms, conditions, or longevity of any employment
- Visa approval by immigration authorities
8.2 Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or practices of employers, immigration authorities, or other third parties. Any employment contract is solely between you and the employer.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- AfriGulf Recruitment shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any loss arising from employer decisions, visa denials, or circumstances beyond our control
10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AfriGulf Recruitment, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of third parties
- False or misleading information you provided
- Your conduct during the recruitment process or employment
11 Termination
11.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@afrigulfrecruitment.com.
11.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately, and we may delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
12 Governing Law and Disputes
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved as follows:
- Negotiation: Parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation
- Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes may be referred to mediation
- Arbitration/Litigation: Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the courts of South Africa
